This year's theme for Earth Day was Invest In Our Planet -- and, indeed, that is what a pair of our devoted members did. We are humbled, excited, and grateful to announce that we have been given a substantial loan to build our storage shed to house recyclables waiting to go to market. We have signed a contract with 509 Quality Property Maintenance, and materials have been ordered. Let the work begin! We at Green Okanogan are excited to continue our work to help the planet, so thanks to all of you who recycle and who donated to make this project a reality. Please be cautious when driving through our yard during construction. - this page last updated April 28, 2022 |
IN OTHER NEWS
Our yard sale was a great success. We are committed to keeping as much as possible out of the landfill, so stop by and check out our free pile while it lasts. ARE YOU SPRING CLEANING? Please remember us when doing your spring cleaning. Useful donations of building supplies and household items are being accepted. Remember: we never take upholstered/soft furniture, or particle board furniture. And, at this time, we are not accepting sewing machines, vacuum cleaners, glass vases, stemware, microwaves, ceiling fans or computer peripherals (like keyboards, mice and printers) because we currently have too many. All donated items should be clean and in working condition. We have no way to clean donations other than a quick dust, nor repair items. And all Recycling should be clean/ free of dirt, grease, food residue, and mold. VOLUNTEERS We always need more volunteers especially for baling. If you are available for a few hours we would appreciate your help. Loading the baling machine is not hard work, but it takes a lot of time. Or maybe you’re a techie and can help us in the future with our website. Give us a call @ 486-0674 or email info@greenokanogan.org to make arrangements. We look forward to seeing you at 3 Rodeo Road soon! |
